ITINERARY

DAY ONE

Casablanca/Rabat                                      L, D

Arrive at Casablanca Med V International Airport, meet and greet by our driver, then transfer to your hotel in Rabat. Just after your lunch at your hotel included, you will meet with your local guide for an afternoon tour of the capital city of Morocco. We will visit the Chellah Roman ruins, Oudayas Kasbah, Mohamed V mausoleum, medieval Hassan Tower, and the exterior of the current Royal Palace. Return to your hotel for dinner, and retire for the night.

 

DAY TWO

Meknes/Volubilis/Fes                                B, L, D                               

Enjoy your breakfast and check out. Meet your driver for your trip to Fez via Meknes and Volubilis. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Meknes. Before lunch will be visiting the Yacoub El Mansour Gateways, the Palace Tomb of Moulay Ismail, the ruins of the vast imperial stables, if time permits, and granaries. After lunch, we will drive to the Roman ruins and mosaics of Volubilis. It was once upon a time the capital of the Roman province of Mauritania and the house of Sylene, Antony, and Cleopatra’s daughter, who married the Berber King Juba of Gallienus. Arrive in Fez the spiritual, intellectual, and once the capital city of Morocco. Check in to your hotel, dinner and rest for the night.

 

DAY THREE

Fes                                                           B, L, D

After breakfast, you will meet with your local tour guide for a full day sightseeing tour of Fes, one of the Imperial cities in Morocco and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour includes the Gateway of the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter ”Mellah”, the 15th-century Borj Nord or north fort, and the 9th-century world’s oldest university. We will stop at local handicrafts factories such as pottery, brass, textiles, and a bakery where everything is made in the traditional Moroccan way. Return to your hotel and freshen up for dinner. Enjoy your dinner and musical show at a local Riad/restaurant.

 

DAY FOUR

Marrakech                                                B, D

Today after breakfast and check out we will head for Marrakech via Ifrane, an alpine-style village, and Azrou. Lunch this time is on the road on own. We will drive through magical scenery at the foot of the middle Atlas where all kinds of fruit trees are planted such as oranges, grapefruit, apricots, apples, and figs. You should also expect a few short breaks along the road where you will have the opportunity to meet with the locals. Arrive and check in to your hotel, dinner and rest for the night.

 

DAY FIVE

Marrakech                                                     B, D

Enjoy your breakfast this morning at your hotel included. Meet your local guide for a full day sightseeing tour of the pearl of the south. Marrakech is an imperial city founded in the 11th century and once upon a time was the capital city of Morocco. Our visits will include the Koutoubia Mosque, known as a masterpiece of the Almohades art, the Bahia Palace, El Badii Palace, and the The Ben Youssef Madrasa (Means a school) it was one of the largest Islamic education center in Morocco.  Enjoy your lunch on own at a local restaurant, then free time for shopping at the famous Jamai Lafna Square located in Old Medina.  Return to your hotel and freshen up for dinner and entertainment at a local restaurant. Return to your hotel and retire for the night.

 

DAY SIX

Marrakech, Essaouira, Marrakech                  B, L

After breakfast, meet your driver for a day trip to the coastal city Essaouira, a favorite vacation spot for several 1970s rock stars. Mogador or Essaouira today was built by the Portuguese in 1506. This former Portuguese fort, once called Mogador, means “fortress surrounded by ramparts”. Essaouira is also known for the production of Argan oil. On the road, we will stop by a women’s cooperative where you will witness the making of Argan oil and other related products. Before lunch, will visit the medina, Castelo Real Castle, and the Old Mellah or Jewish quarter. Lunch will be served at a local seafood restaurant overlooking water. Take a few time for shopping. Return to your hotel in Marrakech and rest for the day. dinner is on own.

 

DAY SEVEN

El Jadida / Casablanca                                   B, D

Leave Marrakech for Casablanca via El Jadida with a brief driving city tour of this former Portuguese city.  Lunch will be the road on own. Resume our drive to Casablanca where we will visit if time permits the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, and the Mohammed V square. Arrive at your hotel and check-in. Farewell dinner tonight will be served at your hotel’s restaurant included. 

 

DAY EIGHT

Med V International Airport                              B

Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel, baggage handling, then check out. Transfer to the Mohamed V airport for your flight back home.
