ITINERARY

 

DAY ONE

Casablanca Airport/Tangier  (5 hours on the highway with a few stops)                                     B, D

Meet and greet at the Mohamed V international airport by our driver, then depart for Tangier. Lunch is on the road is on your own. Arrive at your hotel in Tangier to check-in. Dinner will be served at your hotel included. Retire for the night.

 

DAY TWO

Tangier                                                                                                                                      B, D

After breakfast, meet with your driver and local guide for a sightseeing tour of the international city of Tangier. The city has always fascinated artists such as Henri Matisse, Tennessee Williams, Mark Twain, and others. Visit Petit Socco Square and its cafés, especially the famous Tingis. Tour the museum of the old American Legation, if open, where paintings are on display and one room is dedicated to the American writer Paul Bowles. Enjoy a pleasant walk in Mendoubia Park situated north of Grand Socco Square. Discover a giant banyan tree and a dragon tree, alleged to be 800 years old. Today’s lunch is on your own at a local restaurant. We will also visit the Hercules Caves beneath Spartel Cape, whose lighthouse guides ships through the treacherous Straights of Gibraltar. Enjoy a camel ride by the beach if time permitted. Return to your hotel and freshen up for dinner at a local restaurant. Return, then rest for the night.

 

DAY THREE

Tangier/ Chefchouen/ Fez                                                                                                           B,D

This morning after breakfast and check out, we depart for Fez, the spiritual, intellectual and once capital city of Morocco via the city Chefchouen with its blue and white lime-washed houses. Enjoy the attractive view of the grand Tarik-Ben-Ziad mosque whose octagonal minaret is inspired by that of the Torre de Oro in Seville. This Andalousian architecture can be found in the kasbah and its gardens at the center of the medina. Its walls and its 11 crenellated towers, of which one used to be a dungeon, house an interesting ethnographic museum. Enjoy your lunch on own, then drive to Fez, arrive at your hotel and check in. Enjoy your dinner and rest for the night.

 

DAY FOUR

Fez                                                                                                                                              B, D

After breakfast, meet with your driver and your local tour guide for a full day sightseeing tour of Fez, one of the four oldest Imperial cities in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch is on own at a local restaurant. The tour includes the great Gateway of the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter ”Mellah”, the 15th-century Borj Nord or north fort, and the 9th century oldest university of the world which was founded by a woman. You will also make a few stops at local handicrafts factories such as pottery, brass, textiles, rugs, and a bakery where everything is made in the traditional Moroccan way. Return to your hotel and freshen up for dinner. Enjoy your dinner and musical entertainment at a local Moroccan restaurant.

 

DAY FIVE

Fez / Volubilis / Meknes / Rabat                                                                                                  B, L, D

Enjoy your breakfast and check out. This morning you will head with your driver to Rabat via Volubilis and Meknes. The Roman ruins you will meet with our local guide to talk about the history of Volubilis once the capital of the Roman Province of Mauritania and the house of Sylene, Antony, and Cleopatra’s daughter who married the Berber King Juba of Gallienus. Depart for this 17th-century historic city of Meknes. Our visit includes the Yacoub El Mansour Gateways, the Palace Tomb of Moulay Ismail, the ruins of the vast imperial stables, and granaries if time permits. Lunch will be served at a local Restaurant. After lunch, we will drive to Rabat. Arrive at your hotel for check-in, dinner, and rest for the night.

 

DAY SIX

Rabat/ Marrakech                                                                                                                        B, D

After breakfast and check out we will be visiting the imperial city of Rabat to include:

✓ Hassan Tower, ✓ Chellah, ✓  Oudaya Kasbah, ✓ Royal Palace (Exterior visit), ✓ Mohamed V Mausoleum

Lunch is on own is on the road. Arrive and check in to your hotel in Marrakech. freshen up for dinner, then retire for the night.

 

DAY SEVEN

Marrakech                                                                                                                                     B, L

Enjoy your breakfast this morning. Meet our local guide enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of the pearl of the south. Marrakech was founded in the 11th century and once was the capital city of Morocco. Your visit will include the Koutoubia Mosque, known as a masterpiece of Almohades dynasty art, the Bahia Palace, Mausoleum of Youssef Ben Tachfine, and Pasha Museum. Enjoy your lunch on own at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will depart for Majorelle Garden, a 40-year-old botanical Garden with two and a half acres, built by the French artist, Jacques Majorelle and resident of Yves St ‘Laurent. Return to your hotel for dinner and free for the night.

 

DAY EIGHT

Marrakech / Essaouira / Marrakech                                                                                               B, L

After breakfast, we will depart for a day trip to the coastal city of Essaouira, a favorite vacation spot for several 1970s rock stars. This former Portuguese fort, once called Mogador, means “fortress surrounded by ramparts”. Essaouira is also known in the world for the production of organic Argan oil. Several famous movies were filmed in Essaouira such as Game of Thrones, John Wick 3, and others. On the road, we will stop by a women’s cooperative where you will witness the making of Argan oil and other related products. You will also have the opportunity to take pictures of goats in Argan oil trees. Lunch will be served at a lovely locally owned seafood restaurant overlooking the water. A brief visit to the city will include the medina, Scala, and the North Bastion. Return to your hotel in Marrakech and rest for the day. Dinner is on own.

 

DAY NINE

Marrakech (Camel ride is optional after lunch)                                                                             B, L, D 

After a delicious hot breakfast, will depart for morning shopping with a brief stop at the Bab Agnaou gate, It was built in the 12th century considered as a royal entrance. After shopping, will depart for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you are free for the afternoon to discover what your hotel facilities has to offer. Freshen up for dinner/entertainment at a local restaurant. Return to your hotel and rest for the night.

 

DAY TEN

Marrakech / Casablanca                                                                                                               B, D

After breakfast and check out, depart for Casablanca. Lunch is on own at the Moroccan Mall in Casablanca. After lunch, will make a stop at the Hassan II Mosque with its second world tallest minaret with 656 feet. Arrive and check in to your hotel. Rest for the afternoon. Freshen up for dinner at your hotel. After dinner, you will enjoy a driving illuminated night tour of Casablanca by night. Return to your hotel and retire the night.

 

DAY ELEVEN

Casablanca/Mohamed V International Airport                                                                             

Enjoy your breakfast, then check out. Leave for the airport to catch your flight back home.
