Morocco offers a range of accommodation types, such as riads (guest houses), hotels, and others. Planning your trip on your own and relying on online reviews can’t guarantee you the quality suppliers and service you are expecting.

Most Moroccan hotels are classified by the Moroccan tourist board, and they are rated depending on certain facilities but this doesn’t apply to the international franchised brands. The stars in the Moroccan hotels ratings do not necessarily mean one property is better than the other. Sometimes 3-star properties offer more comfortable bedding and quality service than 5*.

The bed types in Morocco follow the European style, and not the US. For example, In the US we have two double queens, or two doubles, Kings, or a Queen. In Morocco, most hotels have one single bed (King) or two twin beds which are smaller than the regular double bed.
